Introduction: God's will: absolute and conditional. Matthew 23:37 (see v.13-39)

Introduction: God, in His instructions to Israel, takes special care for the poor. If they will do so, it will be righteousness unto them (v.13) and they will keep it from being a sin (v.15). Besides, Israel was a bondman in the land of Egypt (v.18, 22) and should treat those in similar circumstances with special care.

But this passage also shows us several characteristics of the poor. We learn about how they look at things and how they approach life. These insights are valuable, especially since God’s people are to be poor in spirit.

The first beatitude in the Sermon on the Mount: Matthew 5:3 – “Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.”

Isaiah 66:2 – “For all those things hath mine hand made, and all those things have been, saith the LORD: but to this man will I look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembleth at my word.”

Psalm 109:22 – “For I am poor and needy, and my heart is wounded within me.”

In this message, we will look at the poor man and learn from his traits. Deuteronomy 24:10-22

Why does God require us to give others so many chances? Why should we forgive others when they wrong us? The answer……. Because that’s what God has done for us! (Ephesians 4:32). Matthew 18:21-22

Are you troubled at heart? God has a message of comfort for the child of God. It has to do with a place, a path, a Person, God's power, and our prayer. John 14:1-14

Rebellion is defiance or opposition to any authority or control. It works through pride, is the source of sin and is hated by God. What are the signs of rebellion and what will be the fruit of rebellion?. 1 Samuel 13:13; 15:22-26

God delights in destroying man's wisdom. (1 Corinthians 1:19-20) One way He does this is by changing tragedy to triumph. He brings growth (Romans 5:3-5) and rewards (2 Corinthians 4:17) out of tribulation. He brings praise (Psalm 76:10) and purpose out of wickedness. And He brings fruit out of death. John 12:23-26

Isaac pitches his tent in the valley of Gerar and finds that he needs a source of water. Isaac remembers that during Abraham's day there were some wells that had provided his needs and decides to dig again those wells. Isaac found that the wells that had provided water for his Father still provided for him. As Christians, there are some things that God used in the generations before us and it's high time we dig afresh some of these wells and allow God to provide 'a well of springing water'. Genesis 26:17-22

The war is raging and the enemy is dangerous. You must have a strategy. The enemy knows you and your weaknesses. A faulty move on your part could mean defeat. It's time to choose which side you are on. This war is a matter of eternity in some cases. You must act quickly for the enemy is relentless. Remember, the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds. Rise up child of God and arm yourself and listen as the battle plan is given. 2 Samuel 20:1-22

Introduction: Fundamentalists spend much of their time arguing about what is clean and what is unclean. No doubt these things need to be addressed, but is it possible that we do God an injustice when we only think of clean and unclean. A study of the book of Leviticus will show that there are three divisions, chapters 1-9 deal with Sacrifice; chapters 10-18 deal with Separation and chapters 19-27 deal with Sanctification. This message will challenge you to go beyond clean and unclean into a place of holy or clean. Leviticus 10:10

Do you feel unprofitable to the world? Maybe you are not among the famous, or wealthy. The woman with an issue of blood had nothing to give, she was completely unprofitable, but she met a Saviour who was and is not a respecter of persons and who took time to give her all she had ever hoped for and more. Mark 5:21-34
