- No Return to the Earlier Level of Trust (Proverbs 7:23-27)
- You Can Never Return to Where You Were (Proverbs 6:25-33)
- You Have Broken Your Covenant With God (Malachi 2:14-16;

- You Have Defied God’s Special Gift (Genesis 2:18, 21-24)
- You Have Sinned Against Your Own Body (1 Corinthians 6:18)
Conclusion: Will God forgive adultery? Yes. Will He restore the adulterer?
Yes (John 8:10-11). However, the hurt you will experience and cause goes far
beyond anything you can imagine. Cain - “My punishment is greater than I can
bear.” (Genesis 4:13)
What You Can Do:
- Make sure of your salvation
- Pray for God’s protection
- Set up hedges in your life
- avoid over familiarity with
members of the opposite sex
- avoid certain topics in conversation
- avoid
being alone with them
- Be accountable to your spouse
- account for time and money
- inform them of any flirtations
- Build your own marriage
- spend time together
- work out
problems
- help each other
- Put a guard on your mind
- Draw nigh to God and His people
